I need some pretty leaves for a couple of projects, so I decided we should go looking for some up north. As we drove along I was surprised at the green leaves everywhere. Did these trees miss their cue.
We decided to get off the highway in Oologah. I've never been there before, but it looked promising.
We drove on and saw signs to another park. Will Rogers state park. Ooh, this sounds promising. Let's go there. As we arrived at the entrance I saw some very "green" trees welcoming us in.
The house was built in 1875 on a rambling 400 acres. The second level was off limits, so my pics are of the first floor only.
Will Rogers claimed he was born in a log cabin like Abraham Lincoln. Well, he was at least born in a log room. ( I love that rug)
I have a few rolls of fabric strips just like this, waiting to be make into....
They all seemed pretty harmless.
This great three minute movie made by Rogers, gives you an idea of his expertise. He was truly a master. It's called The Ropin' Fool.
