1/2 yd. fusible batting
1/2 yd. heavy weight fusible interfacing
foam insoles ( I get mine at Walmart $5 for 2 pairs)
pattern or copy paper
paper and fabric scissors
hand sewing needles
your most comfy sandals or flip flops
puff paint (if you have slippery floors, dot it on underside of children's slippers)
Grab your sandals or flip flops. Trace the shape on your paper.
Next step, the measurements for your sole: A-measure from toe to heel. B -half of A (from toe to middle of sole)
C - width of pattern right at the end of B.
Cut out pattern.
Here are my measurements:
A - 9 1/2"
B - 4 3/4"
C - 3
My slipper top measurements:
I am already planning my winter pair. I will use the two pairs of insoles that come in the pack, to make a thicker sole. Also I will use two layers of fleece in the slipper top and for fabric I will go with flannel or wool for toasty warmth.
