But rather than just sticking some faux flowers in a vase, I thought I would reproduce those acrylic water flower arrangements for a more realistic look.
Here is how I made mine.
Acrylic Water Kit (includes disposable mixing container and stir stick)
I prepped the vases by washing, drying and wiping the insides with rubbing alcohol. I am using a glass from Goodwill for which I paid .49 and a vase from Dollar Tree for $1, of course.
Next, using wire cutters, I began cutting length off the stems so they are the length I want. The stems are covered with a plastic sheath I do not care for. I just slipped them off of the Gerber daisies.
This acrylic water works with stones or marbles in the vase so I decided to use stones in one of my vases.
