The hogs raised at Cedar Farm are Tamworths. They are an ancient and rare breed. They may not get as large and fat as the breeds genetically engineered for confinement, but their quality, taste and purity far exceed the others. This is good quality meat folks.
Pasture-raised pork is higher in Omega 3 acids and as with all pasture-raised animals the meat is much more “nutrient-dense“ than confinement pork, so, more nutrition for your money.
