But if you think about it, nothing really stands out when it's surrounded by a bunch of other stuff. Kids art is not really highlighted, coupons can be lost and invitations forgotten.
Kids art displayed on a wall would make it much more special.
One idea is to choose a corner of a wall and use string for clipping on the art. See details at inhabitots. Or this idea from Simple As That. You could even use a piece of white or colored paper taped on to a section of wall. Then tape art to it. Art is displayed and center stage instead of hidden among a bunch of stuff. And won't the artist just feel special?
I don't collect many business cards but from time to time I get one. I have refused to buy one of those business card holders because I end up just entering the information in my planner or phone.
So here is what my fridge looks like now.
The only permanent items are: a favorite magnet I've had for years, a notepad for writing notes as they pop into our heads. and a small 16 month calendar. ( I found the notepad and calendar in Michael's dollar bin section ) The invitation will be on the fridge until we attend the event and then it will be removed.
The pen is attached with a very small but very strong magnet. I glued it on to the pen with E-6000.
