Here you go Babe
"Let's just buy a new one" he would say. "No Babe I can make one" was always my reply. It just never seemed to get done. In my defense let me add that I did try to think of ways to make one. But I could not come up with a design or materials that I really liked.
In the mean time we used all sorts of items as a mouse pad. Including this most recent one...
As it happens often with me, I went to sleep one night with the idea on my mind and Voila! I woke up the next morning with the solution.
So on our way home from work a couple of days later, I stopped by Dollar Tree and bought a small glass cutting board. Because it has four little rubber feet that keep it from sliding around, this makes it perfect for this project.
Here are the simple steps.
Making your own mouse pad is great because you can coordinate it with your decor.
cutting board 1.00
decorative paper .54
decoupage medium 4.99
(As a crafter, I already had the decoupage medium, so I won't add it to the cost. If however you need to buy it for this project you can use it for other projects.)
So this project really only cost me $ 1.54. Awesome!
